On this occasion, Hanayagi Takiji1 is staging my humble work Aoi no Ue2 as a dance drama, and furthermore my old friends Dōmoto Masaki3 and the painter Murakami Yoshimasa4 have respectively undertaken direction and equipment and costume. I, who have no idea what marvelous thing will result and can feel neither charm nor stimulation in Tokyo of late, am in such a condition that I am utterly tying my hopes to this performance.
